About this event

Enjoy a liesurely walk in search of the Florida Scrub Jay, the only bird species endemic to Florida, with Audobon member Deb Smith.

Along the way, Deb will talk about this unique ecosystem, the Scrub Jay and other wildlife who call it home.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, Florida, supports one of the oldest ecosystems in South Florida and is the largest protected habitat for the Scrub Jay.

Location: The walk starts less than a quarter-mile from the park entrance along the road leading toward the Pine Grove Campground

The Path: An easy, gently rolling walk along a closed road designated exclusively for foot and bicycle traffic through open scrub habitat.
