Good morning, West Palm Beach.
🏘️ Community
Palm Beach canceled its outdoor Halloween Happenings on Oct.
23 because of rain and will issue full refunds within a few days for tickets priced $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center.
🌲 Environment
Dangerous surf, life threatening rip currents, coastal flooding and beach erosion will continue through the weekend along Palm Beach County beaches, prompting no swim advisories at 16 beaches; avoid entering the ocean and mariners should reconsider Atlantic boating due to gusty winds and 5 to 10 foot seas.
🏛️ Government
Palm Beach will begin replacing the 1920s mid-town seawall in January 2027 to protect more than $7 billion in private property, and managers say the new wall will match the peach color and scalloped trim (the beach will close about 18 months and parking on South Ocean Boulevard will be restricted).
